1811/10 Newp PCGS VF30 Added

Here was the O-101 I referred to last week. Looks pretty good for a 30 to me.

So I picked this up last week. Please feel free to comment or give your opinion on the grade. I purchased it as a F-12. I have an 1811/10 O-101 coming in PCGS plastic next week which I will add to this post.

That is a great collector coin.
I love 1811 CBH's and this one would be very comfortable in my collection.
This coin has seen both commerce...at a time when 50 cents was serious money.... and storage as
    a part of someone's collection.
What's not to love about this piece.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

    Looks original...

What is the line along the rim at about 2 o'clock?

It looks to me to be a contact mark. From what I do not know. I doubt it was a knife as It is very shallow, not perfectly straight and cannot be seen when viewing the edge of the coin directly.

I like it. It would be out of place in a collection of ms64s, but aside from the few guys running in that circle, I think it would work for a lot of people.

That's my favorite look in old circ silver. I am also curious about the dark line on the rev. rim at 2

I'll try to post a close up of the line later. It doesn't bother me the slightest on a coin like this though. I really enjoy these coins in all grades and have been picking up some lower grade examples of cool varieties in between larger $ purchases.

I have an 1811/10 O-101 PCGS VF30 coming next week which I am anxious to get in hand. The seller described it as choice and under graded. I like them like that.

Love the detail on the "vf30." It looks better to me too.

Thanks for the comments. Although I really can't take the credit. I picked them both up from Brian Greer sight unseen. It definitely makes the wait exciting.
