I'll be the first to say that I'm less than impressed with your purchase Alan as it looks like a toning experiment gone bad.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Without passing judgement on that coin, let me say, that such appearance can be easily produced at home, at will. Cheers, RickO

    Thanks Everyone
Now the seller claims that it is naturally toned.
I am by no means an expert when it comes to toning,
but I just likes the look of the coin.
I figured for a few dollars it would be a good was to learn about toning.
I also new that my friends would tell me straight if it was real or not.
So how do I know if it is naturally toned or not?
    Thanks
    Alan

Toners sell for a lot more money if they are slabbed by a TPG like PCGS. Do a search on realized auction prices to check.

Here are some questions you should ask. Have you seen any coins with this type of toning in PCGS holders? Does the seller have coins with this color in holders? If not, and these are legit, the seller is leaving a lot of money on the table so.... image
