I think I need some spectacles.

With age may come a little wisdom but I think it is time to get to the eye doctor. I don't wear glasses but maybe it is time.

This auction lists a Walking Liberty Half as MS67 or better. I am seeing MS63 with a slight chance at 64. Am I way off? I would like to think my grading skills are not 3 points off but who knows? If I am off can I get some input as to what I am missing? The small pics make it hard to determine but there are some nice close ups on the auction. My main concerns are with the reverse. Thanks ahead of time for your opinions.

Tom, this is not my series, but the AU would be on the obverse, IMO. I'd be curious what your thoughts are.

    Cheers!

A MS-67 should have no marks, scuffs or distractions in the all important right field.

This coin not only has all of those, but the eagles breast has a disturbing cut that

stands out. Also scratches in front of eagles beak. In my opinion this coin appears

to be a MS-64 . I would not touch it. Someone made a terrible

grading error. Also the luster has an unnatural brightness, that is a turn off. If I had

the coin in hand, AU-58 could be a distinct possibility

    Cleaned and poorly retoning AU-58.

Yes, you need glasses if you think that is close to MS-63! image (Sorry, I just couldn't resist!)

Some foreign substance appears to be growing on the reverse of this walker...not a good omen at any grade.

My initial reaction is 63 but it could also 58 or NG depending upon what it looks like in-hand.
