Feel free to elaborate, or simply just vote. Thanks...I'm trying to get the pulse of what everyone is doing/considering.

If it makes its next stop at $40, $20, $50 or $30 it is really immaterial to me, because I will still be buying.

<< <i>From Jan 2011 to May 2011, I sold most of my common-minted silver art bars and generic .999 silver rounds to a local dealer for a profit and I used that profit to buy very low-mintage '70's and '80's silver art bars. I am still buying silver but I am being very selective in the silver that I am buying because I am concentrating on buying 1-oz rare silver art bars on ebay and locally (if I can find them locally) that are on my silver art bar wish list. >>
You and I are on the same wave lenght...been doing that for about 1 year though. You can buy all the Greathouse & I'll stick to The Silver Mine & Silver Creation space related bars. with an occasional Mt Everest Mint bar
I have zero confidence in the political process to solve any of our monetary problems, which means that the monetary problems will be solved whether the politicians are involved or not - and my fear is that the "solution" won't be very pleasant.
I agree with roadrunner that silver is acting weird. I take that to mean that the manipulation is more blatant.
I think that gold is the canary in the coal mine, and it is also our best indicator of where things currently sit, and where things are headed as well. People are still fiddling around with stocks and real estate - bottom-fishing, playing a game of "chicken" and trying to hedge with currency strategies. All of those arenas carry more risk than I'm willing to consider.
It's funny how gold continues to be maligned, as a sign of wishful thinking by the mainstream financial media mainly. I see absolutely no reason not to keep averaging in. I do wish there were other options that better expressed an optimism for investing in the economy, but I don't see it. And I keep looking and listening for the signal. All I hear is the usual political posturing, at present. Nothing to light a fire under stocks, real estate or any kind of bonds. Nada.
Obama's pick for Secretary of Commerce spells nothing but trouble for energy costs. Figure that one out in terms of inflation and the economy.
Just one man's opinion, of course.
I knew it would happen.

In addition to the Greathouse bars, I am also concentrating on the Green Country art bars and the sports-themed art bars that were produced by The Mint. I am really am most interested in the sport-themed silver art bars that were minted by The Mint because those are really my favorite ones (especially the enameled versions) since I like to watch professional sports on TV (mainly NFL) and I love silver art bars. Those emameled sports-themed The Mint silver art bars satisfy my silver art bar sweet spot. I also like collecting the World Wide Mint Coca-Cola silver art bars.

As long as I'm working I'm socking away cash and metal when I can while keeping debt down to currently 1 5k vehicle note and a small CC bill.

You wouldn't buy even on a discount? Seems like you would've voted more for one of the bottom 3 choices.
Anyway, thanks for participating and please keep it going.

I will freely admit that I made a big mistake when I sold about 3-4 Coca-Cola silver art bars to a local dealer but that was a long time ago and that was before I became a serious silver art bar collector and started appreciating Coca-Cola silver art bars. That was one of my big mistakes then but I did not know anything about them at that time and that was before I became serious about collecting silver art bars. I did learn my lesson and from that point on, I did not sell any more Coca-Cola silver art bars to a local dealer or anywhere else for that matter. I actually took the time to examine the Coca-Cola bars that I bought and told myself that I really like these Coca-Cola bars and I did do some research on them at that time (before I bought the Coca-Cola book) and found out that there were many different ones that were minted. Then something happened to me as a silver art bar collector in late March 2010. What happened was that one day, I went to a local coin shop to see what silver art bars that he had available and I was shocked to find that this dealer had A LOT of Coca-Cola silver art bars in his shop. Once I saw those Coca-Cola bars, I told him that I will buy several from him once he told me that he was selling them for $25 each. I bought a lot of Coca-Cola silver art bars from this local coin dealer for $25 each (spot was between $16.50 and $17.50 during that period) and those were my best silver art bar finds in 2010. Each time that I look at those Coca-Cola silver art bars, I feel very happy that the "Silver Art Bar Gods" gave me a another chance to find some more Coca-Cola bars at a decent premium. There are some more Coca-Cola silver art bars that are on my silver art bar wish list and I hope to find them sometime in my lifetime. Earlier this year, I found some more Coca-Cola bars locally at various local coin dealers and coin shows for a decent premium over spot silver and I bought those as well.
I also want to mention that the silver art bars that I sold this year from Jan. 2011 to May 2011 were a lot of the '70's holiday-themed art bars (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc.), common-minted '70's Madison Mint silver art bars, common-minted '70's Hamilton Mint bars, and common-minted '70's Mother-Lode art bars (1973 mint year) to name a few that I sold this year. I sold most of my common-minted art bars and used the proceeds from those sales to buy the rare silver art bars that I really wanted on ebay such as the ones minted by Greathouse and The Mint. The silver art bars that I am currently concentrating on finding (at a decent premium) and adding to my silver art bar collection are the following:
1.) More Coca-Cola art bars
2.) Silver art bars minted by Greathouse Productons
3.) Silver art bars minted by The Mint
4.) Silver art bars minted by Green Country Mint
There are some others that I want to find and add to my silver art bar collection but those mentioned above are the main ones that I want the most.
EDIT: BTW I am happy that you were able to find that Coca-Cola silver art bar guidebook on ebay. I think that you will find it very useful when you want to find more information about Coca-Cola silver art bars.
Feel free to vote those of you that haven't.
It seems to me that people are still buying Silver more than selling, but are being cautious for the most part and maybe a little more frugal (is that how you spell it?). This is honestly about what I expected, but I still can't get over how many wouldn't buy even if they got one heck of a discount deal. But hey, that's what polls are for, to find out what the people are thinking.

I always try to buy some when silver goes on sale.
Bought a good bit on this dip . . . and yes a drop from $49 to $33 is a dip in my book!
However I didn't "back up the truck" on this price drop like I did late January . . . Can't put my finger on it, but Something just doesn't "FEEL" right to me this time, so I'm saving some dry powder for the
