I have number of 10 oz bars by different makers. But this make and style remains my favorite.

I also like the old loaf or pillow style Engelhard bars.

I think I'd probably vote for the same--engelhard 10 oz old pour style. They look cool, feel cool, their brushed surface is tactile without risking damage to fragile proof surfaces. An added bonus: my unofficial test results indicate they carry an extra gram or two of silver per bar.

But since nobody bit at my tease image

I do not own one of those yet. But it would be close. Probably the only negative I would give it is something you mentioned. I can hold the engelhard in my hands and feel it's heft without worrying about damaging it's surfaces. The Suisse has prooflike surface which I am sure are easily damaged. But is is beautiful. Damn I just realized it is gold - doubt I will ever own one of those puppies

My favorite is this one. Couldn't believe I had to pay $320 for it a few months ago and now wish I'd bought 20 of 'em! image

It's a shame, that you did not pick-up the silver sister when she was available on eBay. image

I got this one back in the late 90's when gold was right around $300.00 oz.

Might as well porn it, since I had no new purchases this week and I like the way we're all fans of the loaf bars...

I thought the silver 10 oz bar didn't exist/was exceedingly rare?!?

    Can you please clarify?

10 oz silver bar surfaced recently on eBay. IIRC, there were a few offered by a seller overseas. The auction was slightly suspicious. Even so, I bid, too low I'm afraid, on the bar and lost it. But honestly after I sold my 10 oz Pd bar, spending $30k to collect the Pt Pd Au Ag run seemed a little silly.
