Random: How long have you been on eBay?

My primary selling account has been a member of eBay since before they went public.
Dec-12-1997. Anyone still using an older account?
Man I miss the days when eBay cared about the seller.

I remember that 1st sale. Sold a CD Changer for a SAAB and shipped it COD from Arizona to Texas. The post office lost it for over a month. Both myself and the buyer called our POs over and over trying to find it. It finally ended up getting returned to me by the PO. Reshipped it and all went well. It was about a $500 sale too.

I used to use the AOL sportscard boards before that. I'd run my own auctions on there about once a month. I remember telling somebody that I didn't need to pay anyone to do my auctions. I thought the 5- or 60 people I had on my email list was big time.

I recall hearing a lot about ebay and I checked it out and said "that's it?" and came back later on and put in a player name and was like "Oh, they have cards on here" and that was that.
