Remember These Two Frankies ? Thank You PCGS

Not my series per say...But had been looking for my birth year in a Frankie for sometime now and wanted something to fit my set of monsters...When i saw these on a TT auction for me it was exactly what i had been looking for... And in my opinion they were the most spectacular toned Frankies i had ever seen...
I did pay a premium for them but oh well i ended up with what i wanted and like i said i`m not a big Frankie guy so most likely these will be the last of that series i will ever collect... I just love em! The 64 to me looked like a solid upgrade and was pleased with the out come after sending both coins in for the secure plus program and regrade and was tickled pink to see the 64 upgrade to a 66...
I would also like to thank PCGS for their superb true view images and also for all his time my buddy "poorguy" (Brandon Kelley) whom i sent both Frankies onto so he could image and submit to PCGS for me...

So, if you do not want two birth year toned Franklins, how about you let me take the MS66 off of your hands?
Congrats on acquiring these two coins and receiving the grades you did.

<< <i>I don't see how these two cannot be AT! >>
Surely you know the history of these coins... they were carried aboard the Exxon Valdez and were recovered on Prince William Sound. Once recovered, they were rinsed in acetone. Regretfully, the oil stained them and caused the unattractive toning you see. Thankfully, PCGS graded them based on their technical merits and ignored the nasty toning!
<< <i>64 to 66? And the beat goes on.
When i saw the 64 i firmly believed it to be atleast a 65+...But to be quite honest it wasn`t the grade that attracted my attention....

Congrats on the upgrade and the two coins in general.
I enjoyed listening to the behind the scenes story. For those of you that are claiming AT, that was my first thought too given that those 1956's are the first that I've seen like that. However, when Wayne sent them in to PCGS to be reslabbed, he specifically had them go through the "sniffer" just to make sure that they weren't AT. I have certainly seen 1963 Franklins that look like that so it seems that he found the 1 in a million 1956 Franklins. I'm glad for Wayne's sake that he has gotten two Very cool looking '56 Franklins that appear to be the real deal. I look forward to hopefully seeing them some time in the future.
Oh, and PP, note how the MS64 jumped TWO grades... gosh, could it be that NGC is not the only TPG to upgrade Franklins?

I have seen and imaged these two coins (Twice) in-hand as you can probably tell by the fact that my images are presented in this thread. Yes, they are wild as hell. However, they follow the proper color progressions, elevation chromatics, and characteristics of a naturally toned silver coin. That, and the fact that they passed the PCGS "sniffer" simply justifies that these two fabulous Frankies are absolutely legit. They just happen to be the most amazingly toned Franklins you might ever see. Wayne hit the motherload with these two.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
What was the hammer price on these two items?? Does someone know?
Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.

<< <i>Some very nice Franklins! The opinions on these coins are much more favorable than this previous thread about these. I do believe both to be NT, however. Congrats on the upgrade! >>
