What To Do With Old Silver and Gold Coins

Hi, I have found around 600 dollars of melt value junk silver. I also have a 2005 1/10 ounce Gold Eagle. What is the best way to go about selling these or would it be smart just to hang on to them? Thanks

BST and see what you get offered. Helps if you have references or an Ebay account with good feedback. Use ebay if you don't like the BST here. Last resort you can check your local pawn shops but be careful.

Do you think coin collecting might be something you could get into? If so, I'd just hang onto the coins, read a bit about them and the hobby. Re-acquiring them will cost more than you will get for them (thanks to seller fees, if you go the Ebay route), even if the price of silver and gold stay the same.

"Smart money" sells when the PM market is rising & not going down. Suggest you sit on it.

If you don't know collecting then how did you determine they are junk silver?

Get a Redbook at your bookstore and do some research/learning and then you'll be
better informed as to what you want to do.

I agree with this young man image

Do some research to see if you have anything that's more than just "junk silver". I would personally wait until the commodities market rebounds again. Everybody is selling at this point.
