How rare are the 1999 1/10 oz. gold panda's?

I was messing around on Apmex this a.m. and stumbled on what they're selling these bullion coins for. $575.00. I was going through my stash at the sdb and lo and behold I found one in there. Cha-ching! Wish I bought tons more.

You don't see many of them for sale, that is for sure. In general all Pandas are way up right now, so not surprising to see those kinds of premiums of the scarcer dates and denoms.

There are several variations of this date. There is the small date, the large date, and the large date/serif "1". The last is the rarest and commands the highest premium.
