PPC, your totals are always amazing. That will probably be 30% of my entire year's face value.

    Cents ------- 57
    Nickels----- 34
    Dimes------- 12
    Quarters----- 7

    Face value: $5.45
Face value might not be 100% as I counted the half reales at 5 cents somewhere in my calculations and some of the coppers as 1 cent.

    Notables:
    1788 Massachusetts Cent
    1740-1754 KG II copper
    2 Canada Coppers (1825, 1837)
4 Large Cents (1 DB, 1 Matron, 1 Braided Hair, 1 completely toasted)
    2 IHCs
    12 Wheats
    1836 Capped Bust Half Dime
    1853 Seated Half Dime
    2 Half Reales (1784, 1789)
    1870 Shield Nickel
    3 V Nickels
10 Buffalo Nickels (found 11 for all of last year)
    1922 Canadian Nickel
    1780 1 Real
    1877-S Seated Dime
    1 Barber Dime
    3 Mercs
    0 Silver Roosies (strange)
    1 Silver Washington
    4 Pieces of Sterling Jewelry
    No Gold

It is unreal the variety of coins that pcgs69 found in one month alone. I haven't found that variety in 15 years!

April was certainly an exception than the standard. Now for you PPC, every month you bring home large amounts of coins, which adds up to a jaw-dropping sum at year end.

    Dock,

I do not know where you come up with all of the nickels. I just don't find many. I hunted on a practice soccer/playground after practice for about 45 min. This is a spot that I usually come up with several nickels. Not today. $1.78. 3 were quarters. It seems like it was a dime day. There is always some cut up aluminum cans in the ground here so I know I should find nickels if they were there. The band also practices here and that is usually a chance at some jewelry but not today. Still a fun outing.

What kind of areas do you usually find your nickels or is it just everywhere?

The nickels are mixed in with everything else. My 6 yr old grandson detected with me and he found a quarter, nickel and penny.
Nickels are nice but your quarters add up faster.
