Is the mint selling them direct? I just got an email from an AP offering the Gettysburg and Glacier Park versions in NGC or PCGS plarstic for $669. No mention of shipping cost or delivery date. No limit on qty either.

    2 different beasts....

    Collector's version vs bullion.

The 2010 bullion are pretty much done. The 2010 collector versions will be available from the mint, one by one, starting tomorrow (that's what Miles is referencing).

The 2011 bullion are being slowly sanctioned out (that's what you are seeing offered by the APs now).

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

The APMEXs are tempting. Right now I only have limited funds and they will be going to the 2010 collector's versions.

I will try to get one of the "P" mint coins tomorrow but if I don't get one it is not a big deal as I am about pucked out. I am too old to worry about getting a complete set.

The price is out of whack. The collector p version from the mint is about $55 per oz. If you buy 5 ase from ampex tonight it is about the same price. 27,000 compared with who the hell knows how many on the 2011. No brainer, i will try to get the 2010 p's.

Speaking of Apmex, have they shipped any 2010 pucks from their last offering lately?

I bought the pair of 2011 pucks from APMEX. Seemed like a fair enough price to me.

You can check your account on line with APMEX & it will tell you when they will or have been shipped...remember the reference was for the 2010, not the 2011.

Purchase a two coin set(Gettysburge and Glacier) from Amark for $650 PCGS FS BU Slab. Will post results. A little steep since I am paying for their grading fees and more. But I think they don't cherrypick.

If that is the case...there might be a problem with your credit card or check. Suggest you call them on Monday. I've dealt with them for at least 7 years w/o ever having an issue.

I didn't order from APMEX on the latest 2010 go-around but it was my understanding that nobody has gotten shipping notices yet. I think the train of thought has been that the coins haven't gotten in from PCGS yet (they are shipping slabbed).

I thought the mint required the APs to sell them all to the public raw and at a set price. Didn't realize the APs got to cherry pick them and sell the culls raw!

I ordered the 2010 PCGS ATB set from APMEX on the 16th of April.

Got email confirmation of order on the 18th, with expected ship date of 1-3 business days.

Checked my account on their web site, it showed expected ship date of 21 April.

I called on Friday and the rep said it's being shipped on the 13th of May. I asked why did my email and their web site say 21 April? She said to click on the order # of the order tracking tab and that it shows it there. I was online and did it as she was talking. I then noticed in brackets next to the item description "13 May 2011".

A lot of mismatches in their database. And no followup email advising that the ship date has been adjusted three weeks later.

I'm wondering if there was a delay in getting the sets graded by PCGS.

Dillon Gage sent my set the day I wired the funds and I got it three days later.

Fideliturd still hasn't shipped my set and no communication from them. image

Beginning with the 2011 releases, the AP's have no restrictions.

They have not finished inspecting them yet to see which ones they are going to ship and which ones they are going to keep.
