it's not witch hunt when there have been people on eBay selling multiple sets even before anyone here could order (barring a lucky few who do not post about it.)

<< <i>I have said since the beginning that jack hunt not only screwed over all those who got a raw set but now with this info this is where all the 69dm have gone. >>

I bought from Jack Hunt and was not pleased with the quality. However, they didn't sell me 69's, PLs or DMPLs, they sold raw and that's what I got. Because of the quality I won't do business with them again. If your order was for 69 whatevers and that's not what you received just tell them you want a refund.

We all know it now appears that the ADs cherrypicked the coins and sold off the culls. And many feel cheated by this. However this is the same thing that occurs with US mint bullion silver and gold coins. You don't think APMEX is cherrypicking those eagles before they make them available to you? Where's the outrage on that?

Then the mint should deal with ADs for violating their agreement with the mint and I applaud the effort shown in this thread to bring it to their attention. This is a separate issue than the one claiming foul play for not sending me the best coins. How many members here do you think purchase more than the household limit amount on limited mint issues by bending the rules. Where's the outrage with them? They are also reducing the remaining quantity available to others.

Evidence of cherry picking is blatant when the AP is sending out 2010 bullion pucks in graded slabs. And it is outrageous. I've posted in a couple of these threads that the APs should not be allowed to evaluate bullion from the mint for quality / grade before selling it to the public.

Just because it's the way it is now, doesn't mean the practice should continue in the future.

And I nominate JHBC for the dumb AP of the year award for not even bothering to crack all it's bullion out of the slabs before sending it on to the customer. image

Posted this on the Mega Thread but thought you might be interested.

I took a couple of my JH coins and looked up the cert numbers before and after mine. Here is a summary of 300 cert numbers.

I just grabbed a 68DMPL JH coin and looked up the following
    19696471 to 19696509 HS 68DM
    19696510 to 19696556 HS 69DM
19696557 to 19696570 HS Brillian Uncirculated

These three groups make up an even 100. Did not see a single PL.

I checked out the next 100 and they were Mount Hood.
    19696571 to 19696596 MH 68DM
    19696597 to 19696646 MH 69DM
19696647 to 19696670 MH Brillian Uncirculated

    Still no PL.

I took my JH Yosemite 69PL and looked at the numbers
    19698151 to 19698184 YO 68PL
    19698185 to 19698241 YO 69PL
19698242 to 19698250 YO Brilliant Uncirculated

Another even group of 100 and no DMPL in this group

What conclusion do you draw from this? I'm confused.

What conclusion do you draw from this? I'm confused.

First we know they sent in a bulk submission with our host as an EXPERIMENT, now for those who got graded sets the numbers will show what the coin was graded. Look at his item about hot springs there are 46 69dm graded in those numbers, If a member here has a number before those 69'dm and after that number into the next park you can figure there are NONE being sent out by jack and yet they have numbers sent out on either side. So It was in there batch and again they didn;'t send 1 69dm out where do you suppose they went? Great detective work and just shows once again everyone who purchased from jack was taken for a ride..............image

Holy Cow, where's that mint number? Unbelievable.

    slow down.
be careful what you claim and what conclusions you draw.

    You don't know...

    and they can claim...

this was a repurchased one or a consignment or .... a millon excuses.

Even the cert number claim can be questioned because you don't know where one submission stops and another starts, nor do you know if anyone got one of those 69DMPLs as part of their regular order.

  • I sent JH a polite yet firm opinion of what I felt they did wrong in handling these pucks. No response and now they flaunt it on eBay. How disgusting. image

. Also left him a note on his site and going to call the mint right now. This item belongs to the american people not this AP. This is totally agasint the mints policy.....but it shows they just don't care....image coin number19708688 if this number falls in there batch number is pretty much means it was graded at the same time as the rest. right? you are right paul edited to stay out of lawsuit.............

    Agreed.

However, the circumstantial evidence now is over whelming that a particular AP is abusing its privilege as a distributor of US Mint bullion coins and I believe an audit of said AP is warranted.

That's all I said on the message I just left.

Well I still haven't received my JH set which has been sitting at Fedex initiated status since April 21...So Jack, get off Ebay and send the rest of the orders....
  • MsMorrisineMsMorrisine Posts: 35,723 ✭✭✭✭✭
    Well,

we want them to conduct audits.

    audits cost money.

help me convince the Mint why they should spend the money.

    Any thoughts welcome.
