GSA guys Incredible giveaway, number of posts and Collectors Universe Forum Membership

OK. hes got this thing going, like 245 posts and I think every warm body behind a keyboard on this forum may be posting his guess.


You log on, and you see like 32,000 members of the Collectors Universe forums. Where Are THey? the stamp forum? Autographs" Sports? I dunno. YOu log on and some craaaaazy name of Our Newest Member pops up. Just unpronouncable idiotic twaddle of a name, laughable stuff... Is that 32,000 number just a big joke? A water coooler thingy at pcgs HQ@ 9 am someone dreams up "Squaddlepookie" Our Newest Member?

Just keep thinking about this. Maybe Silver Fever has got me turning weird.....

OK. were are the other 31,750 or so other members...

I think the number of signer-uppers is legitimate. Most of us have joined one group/forum or another in the past and then moved on.

Went to a weight watchers type forum not long ago and you`ll never know what name popped up. I did not know that "hamburger addiction" was a recognized disorder.

Maybe burritos or tacos are the methadone of hamburger addiction.

Back when I first signed up on the usenet (newsgroups),
it was bandied about that only 10% of the members
posted, while 90% lurked.

Since then, I have come to believe that the 90% figure
is a bit low.

True. I justifiably threatened to sue them. Apparently you can libel someone, just don`t threaten to sue them.

We`re off topic. This should be brought back to the appropriate topic. Before the only place left I can post is the weight watchers forum. (A lot of diamonds in the rough there.......)

Of the 32,000 or so, maybe around 30,000 of them are probably banned That would include all of the alts the banned folks tried to come back under


Of the leftover 2,000 or so, probably only around 200 regulars

I suspect everyone understood you the first time you expressed your opinion about SPAM. As for your strong beliefs, would that be like, "I strongly believe the check's in the mail"?

I value my membership too much to elaborate and do something I regret. There are well respected people I deal with here and I wont lose any sleep over that qoute!

Not like I said anything really bad. I am just really tired of this one guy trying to spread lies to stop me from getting deals. All because I didn't want to deal with him after he tried scare tactics on the phone with my wife.

LOL I am certainly not an alternate and this isnt my first dance.I dont know Bryan from Adam but I have chatted with his friend on the phone about possibly purchasing a coin. If you read some of the threads toward the top you might be able to put two and two together. Im not going to go any further because I really enjoy this site. Why let one bad apple spoil the bunch.
