*Update* found more info. Yukon Northern Precious Metals - Silver .999 shot nugget in 100 Troy oz ba

Bag has a certificate attached labeled from " Yukon Northern Precious Metals"
Dated October 2, 1973.
100 Troy OZ

Should I take a chance on this bag?
Anyone know anything about it?

Are they difficult to sell? do B&M store fronts buy them at spot?

Would like some feedback as I'm trying to find alternatives to rounds/bars bullion.

A few years back I tried to sell some silver of that type for a friend of mine. It was a VERY tough sell and required a significant discount to move it ... and that was when silver was around $12 a troy ounce.

    Avoid unmarked silver.

Also, avoid marked .999 silver medals that are odd weights. I tried selling some yesterday and was shot a low offer by my local B&M. I didn't sell.

don't bother, stick with 90% or .999 bullion like govt issued rounds (maples, ases, etc) and jm, engelhard, and other well known brands.

I mentioned shot back in early 2010. I think the discussion is "spot" on image

Got more information regarding the item I was looking at from an acquaintance.

Yukon Northern Precious Metals, dated October 2, 1973, 100 Troy OZ bag all of this information seems to be printed on a certificate attached to the bag.

Looks more like nuggets than refined shot silver.

Put your money back in your wallet and step away.

I believe that type of silver is used by jewelry makers. Do you have knowledge of that market and how they buy silver? I sure don't.

Agree. Silver shot is easier to measure and melt than a large silver bar. Silver shot is marketed to silver fabricators (e.g. jewelry manufacturers) rather than silver investors/hoarders.
