Finally scanned my 7070. Let me know what you think. 10 years so far and I don't know how much mon

Images might take a second to load.
It won't be the nicest you've ever seen, but I'm still kinda proud of it.
A decade and I'm still not done. I've spent a lot of time trying to make sure the coins 'match.' I've also avoided problem coins every chance I could. The images aren't perfect because it is obviously impossible to scan every coin the right way when doing a page at a time, but it gives you an idea. One thing I really screwed up was not keeping all the inserts from the coins I've broken out of holders. I'd say around half are busted out of PCGS/NGC/ANACS plastic.
Coins of note:
The 1812 cent is really nice for what it is. No major issues from a series notorious for disgusting pitting and corrosion. The trime is a gorgeous 1867 with ridiculous low mintage, and probably the coin that the scans do the least justice to. The seated dollar is a love token, and one of the sets of initials carved on to it actually match my own initials, which I thought was super cool. Whenever I could, I tried to include examples from the same year of coins that had different types. Note that the lib nickels are both 1883. The Silver eagle is the first coin I ever got. It was gift and started the whole thing. Got it as a gift from my Grandma's brother, in 1987.
Some need upgrades, and the upgrades are long overdue. (the draped cent and IHCs for example) Others need upgrades but I avoid it because they'd be really expensive. Some I'll never upgrade for sentimental reasons. (My shield nickel was my grandpa's favorite coin)
I think I'm most proud of page 2. To me, that is the page with the best overall 'fit' together.
Anyway, here are the pics:

Your first page looks a lot like mine. After that, we diverge.
<< <i>Nice. Keep it up. You are almost there.

Supernice collection, by the way. Only someone who has attempted such a set can appreciate what effort and patience are required.
I've had more fun with my 7070 than with any other album...
I haven't taken the 7070 type set plunge ... yet.

I love the look of that Peace too, and great set, thanks for sharing.
That coin was originally in my toned peace dollar set, but I broke it out for inclusion into the 7070. It was in an NGC holder, I can't remember if it was 63 or 64. Toned peace dollars are super tough, but after all the time I spent putting THAT set together, it seemed disingenuous to throw a common bright white coin into the dansco. You should see the 23 I replaced it with in the real set.
thanks for showing a 7070 so well put together
A compliment on a 7070 coming from you is like Joe DiMaggio saying I can hit a a baseball pretty well, so thanks, I really appreciate it. You are spot on on the draped cent.....it stands out tome as a loser on the front page. I'm proud of the half cents, and really need to get around to making all of the large cents live up. The IHC? Well, i've never really liked them, so I've never got around to spending money on nicer ones for the set. I really really should though. PS (nice play on words too)
Those are scans? What kind of scanner?
Scans yep. Frustrating too because some of the coins really look like hell in the scan. Especially the 1867 3CS. It also isn't doing my 1822 50C any favors. Scanner is an all in one HP printer. Photosmart C7280.
