Possible post office problem? Any input?

Hey all, I sent a priority mail envelope with two money orders to a person on another coin forum for a ATB set I was buying.

I sent the package on the 11th and its now the 16th and the person states he has not received the envelope.

Here is what the tracking numbers say:

Label/Receipt Number: 0310 1230 0000 6449 8072
Expected Delivery Date: April 14, 2011
Class: Priority Mail®
Service(s): Delivery Confirmation™
Status: Acceptance

Your item was accepted at 11:54 am on April 11, 2011 in HONOLULU, HI 96820. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

The deliv confirm numbers don't give any pertinent info as well. Should I be patient and wait a little longer or ??
It was going to NY but should have been there a few days ago.

Thanks!

its far too soon to be worried. I have had priority mail do very weird things, I bet it arrives in a day or two.

I sent a Priority Mail box from Phila to California & it arrived in CA & then sat for several days before moving out of the distro center to the actual final delivery site.... with few updates in between. Took longer than the anticipated # of days.

In your case, you are sending from Hawaii & so far in 5 days has just shown being accepted in the postal center on your end? Maybe the delay has something to do with having to cross the Pacific to the continental US, after which you should see a flurry of activity? But I always thought they should not just display when it was ACCEPTED at your facility, but also when it DEPARTS it! So maybe it's time for a call to their 800 number to inquire, or go down to your post office to have them call the facility it was accepted at?

    Good luck!

Hey Dave, yea its weird how in 5 days it keeps just saying "accepted" on so and so date and time. Weird, maybe some people aren't doing their job of scanning the envelope?

Just wait and see how long it takes if you have to have them trace the money orders.

My input: you could have mailed the money orders in a #10 envelope by certified, return receipt and the letter would have made it to its destination just as quickly, if not quicker.
