He is talking about the actual dollar value of your stack as expressed in % worth silver to gold. A 50/50 split is probably ideal....at least it is in my opinion.

1 : 1.2 now add in the numismatic value and I'm more like 1 : 2.3 (the mint gifts from 06-08)

I'm 0/100 (expressed as a percentage)silver to gold as of last week. I'm sure I must have a few silver bits laying around but not much.

With the recent run-up in silver spot & me only having purchased silver in the last 2 years ... 50/50

  • I am 1:3.8 (silver to gold)

I tried very hard to force myself to buy more silver since last year, but most of the time I ended up brought more gold instead. I guess it is because of my screen name. image

Most of the silver I manged to buy are ATB bullions.

I know I have more silver than gold. How much more though, I do not have a clue.
  • 1:2 silver to gold by value. Interesting ratio, my goal is to sell the silver soon and go all in with gold. I wish to be a central banker.image

Infortunately, I was late to the PM stacking portfolio. I was buying some gold and silver coins in 04, but didn't buy my first piece of bullion until 06.

    Keep stacking.

Counting just the dollar value of the stack and no numismatic holdings or metal slated for sale it is 1.6:1 AG to AU

Based on pure bullion value I'm about 1/3 gold, 1/3 silver and 1/3 platinum although a lot of my gold and platinum have numismatic value whereas most of my silver is just bullion.

    Not enough of Each <sigh>
  • I am at about 2.6 to 1, gold to silver. I started with gold about 5 years ago, and then started buying some silver later on. I felt a little silly buying silver for $20 an ounce, but now I don't feel so bad. image

  • 1/1.5$ in weight 20/1ozt (Ag/Au)

I figure this (20/1) ought to be the real G/S ratio and when things pan out I'll be in at 1/1$.
  • About 2.75:1 silver to gold. I would like it to be a much closer race, however. Maybe 1.5:1.

Edited because my phone is acting up.
