Unfortunately only a select few will be able to purchase them:

*Please Note: The supply of this product is extremely limited. Therefore, in order to be fair to all customers who wish to purchase a set, APMEX has implemented a pre-registration and lottery type system to identify specific customers eligible to purchase the 2010 ATB coins from APMEX. Only the lottery winners will receive the email from APMEX with the offering and will be entitled to order one set of these coins. If you do not receive an email from APMEX, you will not be eligible to purchase at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

you would already know if you could buy a set. If you don't know if you can buy a set or not, and have checked your email, you can not buy a set.

They must have notified people in the order they signed up. I only received the e-mail about 30 minutes ago and promptly purchased a set.

Not necessarily true.....the emails seem to be slow for some folks. I was actually able to get all the way through to purchase (though I never hit the final "buy" button) hours before I got the email.

So the $960 includes the $100 processing fee?

969.95 total delivered, and I paid by personal check. Probably more for credit card.

    Yes. No. Maybe.
~$20 shipping fee, but if you use their mobile site, that appears to be waived.
If you use a credit card, add ~$30.

Paid by check, 969.95 total delivered. $46.55 below spot for the slabbed 25 ounces.
You can thank the mint. They are requiring all authorized dealers to certify they have sold all of the 2010s at a set price before they will let them purchase 2011s.

  • Just saw this now (and sure enough the email was in my in box). Placed an order, for no-brainer silver under spot, but they whacked me $979.90 (Bank Check). Oh well still a good deal. I thought for sure I was going to stay out of the ATB 5oz circus... Imagine that. Just when you say enough is enough, they pull you back in. Oh well, just bullion to me.

Exactly nitro.I signed up for the notify me when available in november.Didnt hear anything since then.I actually was surprised when I got the e mail on april 13th.Mulled it over until the 14th midday and decided to drop the hammer.Price quoted was $959.95 plus 19.95 s/h for a check purchase. So did some of us get a cheaper price??

No, they weren't. They came in Airtites wrapped in ziplock-top bubble-wrap bags. Those were then packed securely in a box.

FWIW, when I called APMEX yesterday, the lady I spoke with said they had over 17,000 orders. So I guess my "alert me" will evaporate into the ether as I only signed up last week.

When I asked if they'll be selling the 2011 sets, she said they will and went on to say that they "will be doing the orders differently". I took that to mean they were unprepared for the number of orders they got and will approach the 2011 sets with a better ordering system. Sounded similar to that of DG who echoed the same sentiments.

    Cheers!

I think they will open the gates further soon.

Do not think you are out yet.

@ 17,000 there would be none left && about 14,000 unhappy order placers who wouldn't get anything.

    I'd believe 1,700 orders.

And the 2011 will be different.

They can just throw them up and tie the price to spot. Anyone can order as many as they want. There are no AP restrictions on the 2011s.
