another example of "caveat emptor" with raw coins on eBay

I corresponded the other day with a 20,000+ feedback seller on eBay who regularly has nice looking raw VF-XF-AU Morgan VAMs. They look nice enough in his photos that I'm often tempted to try to buy and send them to PCGS for grading. I recently found three more of theirs, but since the descriptions basically never say anything about problems I asked if there were any issues that would prevent them from going into a problem-free holder. Their reply reinforced again what most of us think about eBay raw coins -- let the buyer beware. It also means I'll never bid on any of theirs.
Here's what they said.
"In most cases if our boss thought the coin would grade with PCGS he would send them in himself to be graded."
I know this it's blue-sky idealism, but wouldn't it be nice if candor were more common in eBay auction descriptions? Returns and refunds are a costly and time-consuming pain for everyone.

When in doubt, don't.
