1980's baseball cards to get graded

I just got my 15 card membership certificate in the mail and have just a few wrestling cards to get graded. I have decided to use up some of the certificate on some of my stronger condition baseball cards.

Here they are and please share your thoughts on what you think they will grade.

Thanks

1980 Topps Rickey Henderson, looks like a 7.5 to an 8 to me

image

1985 Topps Tiffany Kirby Puckett, has the tiffany rough cut so know idea how this one grades

image

1983 Topps Traded Darrly Strawberry, this looks razor sharp to me and very well centered

image

1989 Bowman Tiffany, looks NM to me with a tiny corner problem on the upper right and the printing issues on the bottom two corners

image

1986 Topps Tiffany Barry Bonds, looks very sharp to me NM-MT or better I would think

image

1984 Fleer Update Kirby Puckett, real nice card and it seems his cards are picking up some steam of late, NM-MT would be my guess

1985 Donruss Kirby Puckett, this came from a factory set and is a total blazer, the scan at the bottom does not do it justice, not sure what to rate this, looks like a PSA 9 or better to me,

looks like the Rickey has a stain below the U

first puckett looks tilted? possible 9

    others 8 or 9

    straw could be a 10 I guess...

    good luck...

Thanks for pointing that out on the Henderson, going to just keep it raw.

The Puckett was just scanned slightly tilted. I put them in the card savers and then just scan away.

If you're worried about the little coffee-ish, bubble-like little circle on the top of the dugout below the "UT" in OUTFIELD, don't let that stop you from grading. That is a print flaw in the negative and not a stain and will not be considered a demerit when graded...

I would say the Bonds is OC top to bottom. IMO
  • Send them all in for sure.

that Puckett 84FU has great centering! l/r is tough on those 84FUs for sure
i agree that the Bonds is oc t/b

is that a crease on the Henderson card?

bottom left just above the corner of the blue border?

The Puckett cards seem to have a similar crease unless that is a scanner defect?

If there are no creases I say submit them all but the Bonds. Bonds is to OC and not worth grading imo.

There are no creases on the cards. I have an old scanner.

Scott thanks for chiming in on the Henderson.

I see what you guys are talking about with the Bonds and it is off top to bottom. He is a scumbag anyway.

The Strawberry and Puckett Donruss I think have the best shot at a high grade.

I like the 80 henderson and 84 fleer puckett. Nice centering. I would keep the henderson raw if it was me. Nice Cards!

Edit was put wrong year of henderson
  • I think you have some 8s and 9s in there but the 84 Fleer Update Puckett to me is your best shot at a 10.

If the Fleer Update comes back a 10 I would be so excited.

I have really only subbed wrestling cards and the printing issues and bad centering make it so tough to really guage your results.

I will be sending some of these off soon and will report back the results.

    Thanks for the comments.
