$75 would be great, but at steady as she goes.
<< <i>I don't want the econ/political enviornment it will take to justify it or the over speculation it will take to cause it. Since I get paid in dollars I don't want them that worthless that fast. >>
I can agree with that.
So as Jose Jimenez would say "Oh... I hope not"

If we have a metal shortage (and we do) and it's gets severe (it will, just a question of when), $75 will be cheap.

Let's say the gov't shuts down tonight, people get "silly" by the media hysteria. And in May the debt ceiling is not raised...
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

$50 yes definately....$75 no not this year.
<< <i>IMHO no by july 4 2011 we will see silver at $25 and below >>
In that case, im sure you are going to your local dealer to sell every oz of silver you own today at the "bloated" $41 price, right? So if you are a believer in the statement you just made, if you have a single oz of silver by Monday afternoon, you are not very smart. Correct?
To justify my belief in why I think silver will hit $75 by the 4th, I'll state my case like I do to friends:
Worldwide events.
Pure and simple.
Dollar dead, New BrettonWoods verdict, Shadow Banks
Mid East turmoil, with no end in sight
China
Japan
Now look at the riots and protests worldwide, from England to Bahrain to Wisconsin.
Food prices up drastically and not going to get better anytime soon. Radiation from Japan tainting the worlds seafood along with the oil from the Deep Horizon screw up
Crude prices up
Banks still closing
If all these things slowed or stopped altogether, silver would drop. I do not think this will happen however.

<< <i>Pieces, just for being a good sport, and holding no ill will or grudges, I will make you a public offer right here and now, When it hits $75 this year, and I think it will, Ill sell you 1 ounce in the form of a 90% non cull Morgan probably a 1921 but maybe a San Fran piece, for your stated price of $50.

And dont forget this. A chart that looks like this CANT be good for the future value of the currency that such a government produces.

Morgan dollars each weigh about 0.77 Troy ounces.

Good catch!
Well Pieces, not a whole ounce... But a dollars worth.
I watched it grow and grow
I believed that it would touch
the very blue , blue sky
but alas, it slowed and stopped
its growth, and never did it reach the sky
It was enough, to make me want to cry.

I think there is a small to medium chance that something is really froggy in the silver market and/or Comex that very well could juice the price without much egging on. I don't think we've had good silver inventory data for at least 35 years.
Right now, it's clear that demand is there. That's what it looks like, but supply is much harder to evaluate.
I knew it would happen.
