Anyone visit the Carson City Mint Museum recently?

The museum was renovated recently. It's worth a visit if in the area.

Was there in Aug, looks good.

BTW, if you are going there let me know. There is also a coin show there in AUG.

The ANA just sponsored a trip there, after the recent Sacramento show.

They have cut back on hours they are open and days, too. Be sure to check
their schedule before you make your plans.

Last year. Remodeled and looks great.

I was there last week as part of the ANA tour. It is in operation, but with limited hours.

They have a mock-up of a gold mine, complete with tunnels, skips, stopes, timbers, air & water lines, and cracked timbering that Fred Holabird confirmed was absolutely accurate. It is awesome.

Also a cool set of mine specimens and the CC coin set, don't know how often the latter is on display. Also the silver service from the USS Nevada.

Coin Press #1 is still operational and I think they said they run it every Friday.

Do go see it.
