So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
Wow...you folks are assuming he was in a car. He could have been a jaywalking pedestrian and been whacked right in the middle of the road. Most likely not, but hey...you never know.
i checked youtube for the scene in Norm MacDonald's movie Dirty Work about a crossing guard who would grab the kids ass' to insinuate this could have been the activity you were engaged in, but alas, no such youtube video exists.... sigh.
Never pick up your cards until the bus has left . . .

A child was killed in Columbus a couple years ago under circumstances as in this picture. Reminded me of a gas station when I was a kid. They had a mangled car out front with a sign that read CARS CAN'T THINK - KIDS DON'T THINK- YOU THINK. You can't be too careful when it comes to vehicles and children.
About 10 years ago I was hit by a school bus as well. Luckily there were no kids on the bus. The bus driver was at fault and wasn't paying attention. I was the only one injured. I was hurt pretty badly at the time. Took me over 16 months to make a full recovery. She totaled my BMW and thank god I was in a BMW. The police officer said if I had been in a different car I would not have survived the hit.
anywho here is a recent pick up for the ol Jeter set...

That 65 Blass is a nice card, when I was building that set it was a tough card in 8.

Steve, It still is a tough card in 8 or better. I was lucky to pick this one up.
Bummer about the bus. Remember the bus safety videos from elementary school? Always were good for a giggle.

<< <i>Wow! I hope you are OK and that your car isn't damaged too bad. Any kids on that bus? >>
I'm ok... My driver side door doesn't open, the front end of my car is screwed up....
It runs, but it doesn't look pretty.
