To keep the game going you gotta find more Peters to pay the Pauls.

How many "stand up" guys ignore PM's inquiring where there stuff is?

For the record - this is the same guy who just last week was pleading, "give me another chance". We really don't need this.

Note the date on the first post in the BST thread linked here.
And, it was the same product he stiffed Phil on.

He stiffed me on 2-5oz Engelhards in January but he did send my check back.

So far, it appears that my interpretation was correct in the previous thread.

I will vouch for cajun & oilstates2003 being more than stand up guys having done several flawless BST transactions with each.

I did give my opinion about tee135 earlier in the thread on the BST Forum that he would at least answer my pm's in a timely manner. Also, appeared to be a Christian based on some of our conversations. I have not done any transactions with him. He screwed up bigtime with gecko109 but gecko has done very stand up thing and forgave Alain.
Alain now says he had a computer problem and it was down for ahwile and is sending oilstates2003 payment back to him. Why seems to be unclear at this point (at least to me).
Maybe, just maybe, benefit of the doubt should be afforded on this, pending payment actually being returned and good? I'm just sayin...we've all screwed up to some degree doing something in our lives and then were almost immediately punished by the Karma gods for it. Maybe the claim of a downed computer is legit?
Although I am very concerned for Jamie to at the very least get his money back, I think rushing to judgement should be constrained at this time until Jamie hopefully gets his $ back.
Is Alains rep further damaged? yes, but I will wait to see if Jamie gets his $ back first before judging Alain further. He has already done alot of damage to himself.

And before his "computer problems" , he had "health problems" that originally stopped him from my deal.....but we know THAT was a lie. Alain should immediately cease any/all BST deals.....or more specifically, it should be well known to all that Alain is not a very reliable person. If he REALLY has had computer problems, then why has he been able to bump his listings, yet not been able to contact oilstates? You are giving him FAR too much credit Rich. How many more people do you want to see Alain harm financially before you throw in the towel.......in my book, ONE is too many!

How many complaints from forum buyers before a seller is bammed?

Not having followed every detail or been involved and reading what you have posted, and accepting the fact that you are a stand up guy and have no reason to (and wouldn't imo) alter any facts Phil, I realize that I have spoken out of turn. I am sorry.

Alain...please make it right, and I think NOW is the time. Either that, or you should go away. I know no one likes to hear anything like that, but one or the other has to happen now .

.........and cut off a potential line of communication for those involved? I don't think so. The hammer would have fallen some time ago otherwise.

An excellent point. Perhaps the nuking of any new BST threads is in order at least?

Point was considered when I asked about bamming his ability to post as a seller. Let me rephrase more clearly, can a member be automatically restriced from posting in the BST without the moderator having to manually remove any posts from that member?

Repetition of ignorance is ignorance raised to the power two.

  • yes but i guess at least he sent my money back ....but i dont think its cool to back out of a deal
