Edited to add: Awwwww, no fair looking up the cert number.
'Sir, I realize it's been difficult for you to sleep at night without your EX/MT 1977 Topps Tom Seaver, but I swear to you that you'll get it safe and sound.' -CDs Nuts, 1/20/14
Glad they re-slabbed the 74 Ryan with the correct grade. What's keeping that 76 Ryan out of a 10 holder? Bottom right rough edge (from the front)? That card looks amazing.
Was the 62 Mantle an attempt at the .5 centering bump?
Yes - I hoped Mantle or Schmidt could pick up a .5 for centering. Mantle has a nice clean image too - very crisp.
I think the 76 Ryan is not vibrant enough colorwise. I may crack it out and give it a shot or two though, just thought I'd try it once in the 9 holder.

I think there's too much print snow on the Schmidt to get a higher grade.

I thought I could get them to bump a '76 by sending three of them, but no luck on a 10. Glad to have the '74 Ryan bump though.
I thought that any one of them could get the bump except the Jackson.

I mean the did grade it an 8 at one point

Sorry about looking up the cert #, but I was brought up to use any edge that I could legally obtain.
I do believe the prize for the correct answer was any one of the cards? Right? I'll take your choice, no need to abuse the system twice.
I do think cracking Mickey would be a better gamble. There is more room to move there.
I was going to ask, well I did ask, why review 9's, then it dawned on me to read the entire thread.
