Bank trip sunday

Went to the local bank yesterday. someone has been cashing in hand rolled halves. Since the bank doesnt order halves for me anymore I figure id buy them all and see what can be added to my book. Ironically in $200 there was 18.00 face in silver 40s . Not a bad find for a sunday . Ill have to stop this week to see if any more rolls show up image

Nice score. I went to the bank last week and they were rolling halves by hand from a bank bag. I bought $100 and only got 1 40%. I like your odds better but was happy with finding one.

The part that I'm most impressed with is that you live in an area where banks are open on Sunday! That just doesn't happen around me.

hand rolled halves is usually a red flag NOT to buy halves since they are usually cherry picked especially with X's and like in this case a check mark on the rolls. BUT the tellers know i havent been able to get boxes from them and if nothing else its good karma just to buy halves whenever they get halves so it doesnt look like cherry picking. Mid week they had 2 rolls with no silver but 1 regular coin for my book. and now nearly 2 full rolls of silver halves out of 200. Ill continue to buy any and all halves they find for me bank or hand rolled. This makes me think hand rolled might not be such a red flag afterall

Your bank is open on Sundays?

Johnny9434 is correct....at least here, in Mass, there are some banks in supermarkets that have branches open on Sundays.
    I'll come up with something.

Here in Illinois I use TCF and many are located in supermarkets. Open 7 days a week 8am-8pm. Even the stand alone branches are open 10-2 on Sundays.

I have never heard of a bank open on Sunday... there are none in supermarkets around here, and the mall banks are closed Sundays. Cheers, RickO

We have a local bank here with several locations and the Kroger branch is open from 12-6 on Sundays.
