Not sure what it's commemorating, but bought it anyway. I've got it on the BST for $99 being that it's kind of a unique piece, or is it? You tell me.

    metal arts company did 100/150 anniversary sets for many states...I have several examples of their work in silver,copper and bronze for the Maine 150 state anniversary

    I like the eagle design on the reverse, so I guess I'll just keep it.

  • Medallic art cranked out all sorts of 'stuff' back in the old days. I had a few US presidential medals each in a presentation tray with a matching Bureau of Engraving and Printing print of the respective prez. Very attractive, no interest let alone premium, so into the melting pot they went image
