Engelhard One Ounce Bars from the 1970s

Perhaps some on these boards might be able to help me with these or might have an interest in them. A local gentleman brought a box of these to a friend of mine yesterday for sale and there are approximately 150 one ounce rectangular bars in the box. The numbers are either consecutive or nearly consecutive and the previous owner said he had the bars since the 1970s. Is there much of a premium attached to these? Also, might anyone here be interested in some or them? Thank you.

<< <i>These are stamped, not poured - correct? Not much of a premium. Collectors love the poured bars, but the extruded bars not as much... >>
A bunch of today's auction closed around $40 with $4.95 shipping for 1 bar.
I think it's a nice premium!

What does the seller make after the eBay fees, paypal fees, and shipping fees?

$35.20. eBay has made it so the average person cannot afford to do business there. Yet, their stock continues to rise. Can you say, manipulation at its finest? Then, if the buyer doesn't like it for any reason whatsoever, you have to take it back. No thank you eBay. All I sell there anymore is stuff I could care less if I make anything on it, mostly garbage found around the house.

The OP asked if these bars bring any premium, so I see this question: how much are the buyers willing to pay for these bars?
edited to add: btw, the seller should make approx $38.16 given that he ships First Class and doesn't insure $40 of merchandise.
And few bars sold well over $40.

What does the seller make after shipping, eBay fees, Paypal fees, etc? This was a rhetorical question so there is no need to answer it. That's why you may be better off selling it on the BST at a more reasonable price in addition to being able to deal with a better class of buyer.

E-Bay fees 10%, so around 4.00
Pay Pal about 3%, so 1.20
42. minus 5.20, 36.80 is what the seller ends up with , so I would not sell an englehard 1 0z on the bay unless they brought at least 50.00. Probably wouldn't bother with any size bar there------------------BigE
