I guess that works out to $352 profit for a 10 oz'er IF the buyer pays shipping. Just was going thru some completed listings and about fell out of my chair. image

Your math is questionable....$352 profit? Only if his cost is $5 per oz

    yeah ok whatever...lol.
You would GET $352 after all fees if a 10 oz. bar sold for $400 and the buyer paid for shipping. Better? image

True if you did not have a store and not receiving FVF 20% discount that most of us receive. I'd receive $373 for my trouble.

SoTILL.. "PROFIT" ..ONLY IF THE SILVER COST THE SELLER NADA! BTW $352 for a 10 ouncer is hardly a windfall.. I can get spot in cash from my B&M.

I doubt if any B&M store will give you $373 & that's what I'd be getting under the OP scenario.image

Tonight I noticed a fair number of 10 oz bars going for $40 per oz. Even the less popular brands were being bid that high. Its the new normal.

A year ago I could purchase 10 oz bars on eBay for $1 to $1.50 an ounce over spot. Not any more.

It still isn't worth the risk eBay puts you at as the seller. When they allowed buyers to do chargebacks, raised fees to 12% between them & PP, stopped allowing sellers to leave negative feedback, etc.. I decided to stop selling being that I mainly sold items worth $500-$10,000. Now, I sell nothing more than $100 or so if I sell at all. Used to do around $20k/month gross, now it's more like $20/month. eBay cares about shareholder value and buyers. They left sellers out to dry and I think it caused alot of people to go elsewhere as I have. There's TONS of sites that dont charge any fees at all. It might take longer to sell, buy at least I see the profit, not eBay/Paypal.
This concludes this old and tired rant.
