    Finally saw and bought one A&G blaster at Walmart - they had about 7 or 8 of them there.

    Pulled a "Mantle" card and I'm pretty sure it ain't worth nothing. LOL

    Was a fun rip though.

    I busted 2 cases and have lots of base/minis/sps/inserts to fill sets... Not making sets myself so no trading, but pm me your lists to see if I can help you

    I picked up a hobby box today from local card show.

    Here are the three hits, otherwise box seemed kinda blah.

    Don't think I will be buying anymore.

    I wonder what the Hope auto looks like?

    Nice case hit zep. I guess those plant cards really work.

    havent seen the 'faces' or 'fortunes' mini subsets catalogued anywhere. are those SPs? part of the code solution perhaps? thx for sharing the hits from your breaks!

    TrinkettsTrinketts Posts: 1,699
    Those Faces can be extreme SPs... In the 3 cases I have busted only seen 2. Gotten more RIP cards than Faces.

    Also only hit 2 seed cards as well.

    I can't believe how cheap they are on the Bay

    Everything is cheap this year on ebay for ginter. I haven't figured it out yet, but no one is paying big money for cards anymore. Too bad.

    Do the Crack the Code cards have different variations per player or is there only 1 version for each player?

    I would be willing to buy a nice set of the 2011 ginter checklists. They have to be 100% 4 sharp corners ready to grade.

    Please let me know!!!!

    Paul.

    Later, Paul.

    Have a 2011 Topps Allen & Ginter mini Penultimacy card of Mike Gellner PP2 and noticed the back of the card is in a weird language, no sense at all, is this normal for this card? thanks

    Take a look at this auction and notice the label that PSA put on this '11 Ginter base card. I don't think A&G produced a "Glossy" subset of Ginter.

    There was a glossy version released in factorys set form through Topps at the end of the year. Each set was serial numbered along with the individual cards.

    Interesting thanks, I had no idea. Was '11 the first year that A&G released factory sets?

    That is correct, it was the first year sold as factory sets and sold on Topps.com for $199 or $299. Limited to 999 serial numbered sets. Many were furious that Topps did this to Ginter set as many built hand collated sets year after year. I suppose it's a change of pace and I hope they do not continue to do it. The last time I recall Topps releasing a glossy set was in 2002.

    Just busted a couple of retail boxes I forgot I had purchased during a Topps sale a couple years ago. Fun rip, I suppose.

    * 1 weird looking clover drawing - apparently these were inserted as a red herring for the codebreakers
    * 8 Ascent of Man inserts - really cool looking

    * 8 Baseball Highlight Sketches inserts
    * 2 scrub relics
    * 1 Flora of the World seed mini

    * 5 Animals in Peril minis
    * 4 World's Most Mysterious Figures minis
    * 4 Uninvited Guests minis
