Gene, just keep plugging away at it. There's nothing like the rush when you get a hit. If it'll make you feel any better my kid and I have gone $5000 without a hit at least twice since we started this, going several years back. It's like playing the wheel in a casino. When it's your day, it'll hit. But, you can't control fate.
All the silver I've received from the bank in the last couple years has been in loose coins rather than in rolls. I've had 5 40% and 1 Franklin in the last year. I suppose rolls have been searched but loose coins are recent deposits.
I asked my wifes parents who bank at a small bank outside of KC, MO to check with the tellers to see if they had any halfs. Turns out someone had just cashed in $220 worth. They were going to the bank anyway, so they grabbed them. I sent an email of what to look for and here was the response I got back.
<< <i>Dude. Tom and I did a quick look see. Two 1963 Franklin's, two 1967 Kennedy's, lots of bicentennials, and a Pokemon token. Seemed like they were mostly 1970's and '80's; but also had 90's. >>
Anybody know if there is a cherrypicker book for Pokemon tokens?
Here's what I've accumulated from bank roll searches of halves. Two boxes on the right hold 285 90% halves, three boxes on the left hold 863 40% halves.
