Tonight I will give the quarter a bath to remove the haze. The coin should really have some "eye appeal" after the bath. I think it will be a great upgrade to my existing best 1952 quarter [which is a one sided cameo].
Well, I just gave the quarter a bath and the results are very good.
The milky haze that had developed on the coin came off without a hitch. Under the haze is a hairline free, cameo quarter with even two sided frost and deep, watery, black two sided fields. It is much better than my best 1952 quarter [one that has thick white obverse frost, average obverse mirrors, moderate reverse frost and average reverse mirrors].
So my 1952 Cameo proof set took a leap up in quality today with the addition of the new quarter. It now has five coins with frosted devices and black mirrored fields on both sides.

I am quite pleased with my newest cherrypick.
Good work...I appreciate the joy of the pick!
<< <i>We really need to get Sanction a camera set up so he can share all these NEWP's, not just taunt us with them!
True!
