Seated Half: enough detail for a Fine?

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,620 ✭✭✭✭✭
Yes, I know there is an obverse rim bump which actually looks worse in the image. Is there enough detail to call this coin a Fine? or is it only VG? TIA.

I think it does, but how bad is that rim bruise at 9 o'c?

The rim bruise looks a lot worse in the image.

Close to Fine details, but surface roughness and rim bruses make it no better than VG.

I agree with BillJones. If your interested in details ONLY, you could argue a fine. If your interested in the coin as a whole, its no better than VG.

It won't make any difference in price. It's a very common date in well worn condition, with a rim bump. Couple of dollars difference between VG10 and F12. I would err on the conservative side and call it a VG if selling, and if someone thinks it's an undergraded Fine, they may buy it.

My first opinion was VG 10, then I saw so many came up with the same grade.

Some really sharp opinions here IMO.
