2 big thumbs up for TomB

He had a coin listed on the BST that i was interested in and to make a long story short he went WAY out of his way for someone he's never done business with before. Just had to post and give him 2 thumbs up and if i had more thumbs those would be up to. Because of him i got to add a beautiful half dollar to my collection. Thanks again Tomimage

Glad to know there are still a few honest trustworthy people here on the forums.

In spite of the fact that TomB busted my chops in another thread, I give him my two thumbs up too! imageimage

Seriously...he's a great guy and I'm not surprised at how he treated you.

I have never had the chance to associate with him, but despite that, after reading a LOT of his posts . . . I realize he is a straight shooter and trusted member of these Boards and MORE than a credit to our group here. He is a 'foxhole' guy . . . one you'd like to have at your back when it hits the fan !!!

Oh, and I have learned a lot from his posts for the last umpteen years . .

I've been more than happy with all the coins I've bought from Tom. Not only were they correctly photographed and described, but they were excellent examples and fairly priced. A few I submitted for PCGS grading and they came back higher than Tom's assessment.

And of course the service and friendliness was top notch. Couldn't ask for more!

Beyond sharing coin advice, Tom provided detailed insight into higher education that I used to advise my son who will be attending college in the fall. I credit him with having a significant influence on my son choosing a different major that I think will be more rewarding. There aren't many people on message boards who would take the time to provide such guidance and expertise so generously. Thank you TomB!

Tom is as honest as the day is long. As a friend from Texas would put it, "he's a fine Christian boy" (that one doesn't travel well north of the Mason / Dixon line, but you get the drift).

My TomB story is from 5 years ago... I had been looking for and posting WTB on an 1802 half dollar, TomB PMs me and says, hey Baley, I just bought anXF45 1802 half, would you be interested in my VG coin I upgraded from? I can send it to you on approval! I say, yes please, he sends it, I like it, he prices it, I send a check, it clears, done deal.

Plus lots of good discussion about scarcity, surface qualities, price structures and trends. TomB=good guy

Tom is a wonderful asset to the forums he posts on and I had a great transaction with him. One of my favorite coins came from him:

I have had numerous excellent online conversations with Tom (coin-related and not coin-related), a rare phone conversation image , and several very satisfactory transactions. I hope someday to meet Tom in person.

I've had more pm's with Tom then anyone else. Sometimes what he writes me is so over my head that I have to check out like three books just to answer, " ya, what you said!"...........love him. MJ
