What would be a good price to pay for a set of old pour JMC bars?

My local B&M just got in a set of 1oz, 3oz, 4oz, 5oz, 7oz, 10oz bars. I might be able to get them for $50 per oz. Too much?


Edited to add... Just looked at recent Ebay auctions. Looks like $150 for the 1oz and $50-60 for the 3 to 4 ounce. How much do the 10oz typically sell for?

    Yes, far too much. I would pay no more than $35/oz, and have to really consider before even spending that much.

    Sounds like a cool set. I have found (paid normal silver price) the 1, 3 and 5. I have never even seen the 4 or 7. My collector side says get them. My investor side says pass. This type of stuff may start coming out more frequently as silver rises.

    This would only be a 30 oz purchase, not 3000.

    Ask the dealer what he's paying for old pour J-M bars.image Sounds a little too much to me. The odd weights (3,4,7) would be worth a small premium to me but the other weights (1,5,10) are standard and won't have the same novelty premium to most buyers.

    I have sold several of the 1 oz bars the last month or so for anywhere from $120 up to $200 with no problems. $150 seems to be the price point for these bars.
