How do you pronounce Dahlonega?

What is the correct pronunciation of Dahlonega? While at the Long Beach show I heard it pronounced several different ways.
Is it:
Da lon e ge
or
Dal lo nay ga
Thanks,
Bruce

While we're at it, how is it accented? I usually say Da-LON-e-ga, but I've heard Da-lo-NAY-ga...

And yea, expensive usually applies too.
That's exactly how the owner of Dalton Coins, Dalton, Georgia pronounced it with his Southern accent. But he was in the minority with his pronunciation.
Thanks,
Bruce

Is that pronounced MI no rity or Mi NOR ity?
Having heard it pronounced that way countless times while living in Atlanta during the entirety of the 1990's, I assure you thet this is the common pronunciation.
There are several other cities and states that I have encountered with similar misunderstandings, for example:
Kissimmee, FL is pronounced kis-SIM-mee
Nevada is nev-A-duh with the same "a" as in "cat"
Colorado - see Nevada
Verdi, NV is called VER-die
and don't even get started on variations of names from the Northeast, like Glocester

I'm a native Georgian, lived there and SC my whole life. While I was there, I lived less than 2 hours from Dahlonega.
This is how we pronounce it.
Non-New Yorkers refer to Houston St. as Houston St., like the city in Texas. Those of us from New York refer to Houston St. as house-tin street. I'd bet if you asked a New Yorker where is Houston St. ( like the city in Texas ) he'd have no idea what you're talking about.

When I first moved to Seattle (Kent, WA, actually) my new workmates inquired which route I took coming in. I really embarassed myself trying to pronounce "Puyallup".
Never got it wrong again, though.
Edited to add..
Oh, and ... I had friends that lived in Conyers, Ga which is near Dahlonega. They all pronounced it "da-LON-eh-ga".
