To forgive is to free a prisoner, and to discover that prisoner was you.
I did, unfortunately I had purchased 94 oz at the close of business wed, only to open this am and find silver down 1.20. One of my good customers came in looking to buy, and I had to be honest and tell him I had it, so he took them all at a much lower price with me making about 20c on each bar/oz. I could have hid them and said I dont have any , but hated to be unethical!

You were being smart. You could easily be looking at a $3 loss next week. Then what would you do?

Well, I am glad we have solved the eternal question: . "What spot price is a dealer supposed to use when selling bullion?" . The answer is: "THE CURRENT SPOT!" . From now on, anybody who whines: "But you bought this before (gold/silver/whatever) went up, so you should sell it to me basis your cost!" will get hit in the face with a wet mackeral! .
