C'mon, Phil! You live in Illinois, and know that the blathering of one state legislature means less than the collected wit and wisdom of Snooki!

State legislators introduce stuff all the time to pad their resumes. They can say "I proposed...." during the next election, and not mention that the rest of the legislators just smiled and nodded.

There is a famous story that a southern state legislator whose son was having trouble with his geometry homework allegedly introduced a bill that would change the value of "pi" from 3.14159+++ to 3.0 even. Who knows? It may have happened. But it didn't pass.
