Picked up this VAM-11 on the 7th for $204. Less my Ebay bucks came to $186.
Seller had a reverse pic and poor one at that.
First purchase of 2011 and it sets the bar for the rest of the year!!
Note the die polishing lines all over the eagle.

I've noticed you've been getting a lot of good ones lately.
5:30 so it will need a bath in acetone before it goes in. There goes the GSA
sleave out the window! Still a nice coin and a nice surprise when I opened
the package and louped it!
2nd time I've found green gunk on a 78cc in the soft pack. Do you think that
they stored them improperly at the Treasury?

Now that you mentioned it, there are actually several green spots down there, and they all appear to be in between the dents.
Anyway, I give it a 61. But, then, I had a real bad day, so...

They were in bags in a vault, that's about as proper as they get. The green stuff is probably contaminant from the mylar packaging. If it washes off with acetone that's a safe assumption. You know the soft packs are sposed to be circulated coins, so it could have been exposed to anything.
