Any PMs left with substantial premiums?

Last week I sold my silver art bar books because I felt nothing was worth a premium other than a few of the coke bars.

I picked up one of these Royal Canadian Mint bars on a whim the other day from my local B&M. Paid more for it than a maple ($34.75 I believe it was), but had never seen one before. Mine isn't sealed. Seems I didnt do too bad considering...

Although that is just ebay silliness when you see his other listing with a BIN of $45, lol

I guess there are still a few things. I just remember buying art bars at 10 and then flipping them for 25 or so on the bay. Substantial to me would mean 25 percent or more over melt.

Those were my favorites! Sold them all at a nice premium over melt a while ago.

  • I bought 25 of the pamp 1 oz bars for $32 a piece (one of those Australian e-bay dealers, all the others were going for $40-$50) when silver was around $20. I should probably think about letting those go and replacing with ASE's or something similar

I've still got all my art bars allthough the premium is largely gone on most of them.
I've found two of these in my searches, I sold them both on ebay.
1 sold for $650 and the other for $712. At the time, I paid $19 for one and $22 for the other.
Sorry about the huge photo, it's all I have.

Most of the Australian NCLT like kooks and lunar series is doing alright.

Britannias are holding up nicely as well.

Thanks image Long time lurker, was having problems logging signing up/logging in, but changed browsers and now it works like a charm.

The RCM bars are pretty neat. My dealer told me they haven't made that type of 1oz bar in 30+ years.

Silver 1 oz Britannia coins from the UK always carry a big premium.

How true..but you also pay a hefty premium when they are issued.

Besides the Coke bars. Here are some following silver art bars that sell for a substantial premium on ebay:

    1. Great House Productions silver art bars (minted in the '70's and the '80's; mintages range from 50 to 250 on most of these GreatHouse bars)

    2. Green Country Mint (minted in the '70's; mintages range from 100 to 200 on most of the Green Country silver art bars)

    3. The Mint (minted in the '70's, '80's and early '90's; sports theme bars of sporting events such as the SuperBowl, NBA Championship, etc.; each bar had a low mintage number of about 200 with some mintages lower than that.)

The silver art bars from the above 3 private mints fetch a huge premium on ebay (i.e. $20 to $100's of dollars over spot silver) but they are very hard (if not impossible) to find in a local coin dealer's shop for a low premium over spot. The ones mentioned above are usually found on ebay and most of the time those are sold as ebay BIN auctions Several certain other silver art bars sell for $10 over spot on ebay such as certain art bars minted by the USSC (United States Silver Corporation). Most of the ones that I have seen sell for between $5 to $8 over spot on ebay but they have higher mintage numbers and therefore are more common.

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a '70's silver art bar expert but I try my best to play one on the Internet.
