We have received news that the U.S. Mint is limiting the allocation of 2011 Silver American Eagles to distributors. We will accommodate as many of our customers as possible, but it will be “first come, first served” for this beginning allocation."

It probably just means the mintage won't be as high as the past couple of years, where it's been over 30mil. Even producing 2008's previous high of 20mil would be considered a significant cutback in comparison.

I would hope so, they wouldn't stay in business long if they didn't hype their products...Margins to small & competition to fierce in the PM world. ( Another free reality check for you )

A bill has passed both houses and only awaits pres. signature.
The law used to read:
"quantities sufficient to meet public demand"
and will now read:
"quantities and qualities that the Secretary determines are sufficient to meet public demand"
