Had to post to a thread to get logged in.

there are those of us who don't want the perma-cookie.

I login until the browser is closed.

and yes, it's happening to me, too.

Is this the message you've been getting?

We have detected a problem with your user cookie, the cookie has been removed. You will now be taken to the login area for these forums.
If you are not taken automatically click here.

If you're still experiencing problems, try closing your web browser, and then re-login to the forum.

If so, me too. In fact, I can't log in at all because I just get a cycle of that message. I've tried on two different systems, after deleting cookies, history etc. The only way I'm able to do so is by coming to the site through a proxy server. This tells me that the software is bouncing me based on my IP address. There is a feature built in that can be used to force cookie deletion, and it will produce that message.

meanwhile, another forum member clued me in over the phone that I could work around the issue by creating a new thread and then logging in...

and so there you are and here we are and ain't it just grand... image

Yesterday, I clicked the Message Boards link on the pcgs home page and it redirected me to a page that was titled "Oops!....." I couldn't even get to the boards!

So I posted a query ATS about the problem here and ever since have been getting hammered by them in that thread. Problem seems to have self-corrected here though.

  • Earlier tonight I had the same problem... Figured it was a "Moldy Cookie" so cleared my browser & was able to log on...

I couldn't get into the message boards "through the front door" (home page) yesterday or this morning, but was able to get in through the Set Registry page. I think PCGS' website is having a bout of the sniffles or something.

  • went off line last night BUT did not log off this forum, which is the way I usually do it...

clicked on my bookmark to the forums this morning and got the same "cookie" message as last night...

went to the test forum and created a thread... logged in during that process... checked the "keep me logged in" box... and now I am in...

do not think it is a browser issue or it would not be happening to so many folks...

as I said last nite in this thread... I did call PCGS around 4:30PM yesterday... and CS said that they are having an issue with the forum and aree working on it...

I also will note that for about an hour or so early yesterday, whenever I tried to enter the forum, I got a message that there were some problems with the site and that the admins were already aware and working on it... then later in the day, I was able to get back on to the forums... however, during that brief time when I could not, I also could not access anything on the PCGS website except the home page...

hope the problem gets ID'd and fixed soon...

  • I just got the message again a short time ago. In my case it might be true. My anti-virus program loves to delete cookies. Anyhow, I am redirected to a log in-page and I just log-in and carry-on as usual..

Even though I reply to a thread and check the "I want to stay logged in" box when doing so today when I get on I'm right back where I was yesterday....whatev! Maybe this is the foreshadow of "the Big One" part 2.
