Compared to the regular bullion series mintages all the 2006/7/8-W ASEs are key coins.
IMO it is crazy for the 1996 bullion ASEs to go for $50-60 each while the far rarer 2006/7/8-W versions sell below $50

Are you talking about ASE, AGE, APE, etc? Almost all my 07 & 08 coins are ungraded.

Many ASE collectors, possibly most, are collecting date sets of the bullion versions and are not in the market for the "W" burnished ASEs.

Most ASE bullion collectors are novice individuals and I have found a significant % don't even realize the W versions exist.

What world do they live in? Even people that buy from the coin vault know about them.

Some people collect coins for the enjoyment..... and do not exist 100% in the coin business world. They have fun. Cheers, RickO

i bought an SGS graded MS70 "SAE 2008-W, without W"
just because of the novelty of the description.

If they were not selling like hot cakes before, they will be now with the New York times article about $50 silver.
