Cameron Kiefer Charity Auction: Initial Details and Call for Donations

For the past 7 years, I've run charity auctions on the boards for various medical causes. While I had planned to start another such auction in early 2011, it is with a heavy heart that I announce an earlier auction to support the Cameron Kiefer Family Memorial Fund, which will help Cameron's wife and children in this very difficult time. Cameron deserves a lot of credit from me personally for the help and advice he gave me over the years that have turned me into the collector I am today, and I know many others were helped by him, as well. Now, it's time to help his family.

The auction will work as past ones have. I will accept donations, list them, and then accept bids for around a week. All proceeds will go to the memorial fund. Because time is more important now than in past auctions, I ask that if possible, donations be shipped directly to the winners, and donors provide me with a list of donated items, and descriptions and images as appropriate. If need be, items can be sent to me to list, as well. I will be away until January 4, so I hope to have everything listed and the auction started shortly thereafter. I will write the final check as soon as possible after the close of the auction.

To donate items, please email me (please don't send a PM, as they're harder for me to keep track of) with a list, descriptions, and images to charity@jkwd.com (I may not respond quickly, but that is so it's easier for me to keep track of items as I'm putting the auction together). If you need to mail items to me, they can be sent to:

Jeremy Katz
PO Box 4232
Everett, WA 98204

Please include your name and some type of contact information with your donation. Also, be sure to indicate with mailed donations that they are for the charity auction

As more details become available, I or Lane Brunner (astrorat) will keep you informed. If you have any questions, feel free to post, email, or PM either of us and we'll try to respond as quickly as possible.

Please help as much as you can--this is certainly a worthwhile cause born out of a very sad situation.

Thank you,

Jeremy Katz
