Must Login to view Photos of Coins in Inventory ???

I clicked on the ad on the top of the page for NATAGCOIN.com and tried to look at smoe coins in their inventory....

You must Log In as an existing customer to view the photos. I guess if I can't see the photos, I will never be an existing customer...

Anyone ever dealt with them (North American Tangible Assets Group) ???

I hate when dealers do that. They just want your e-mail address so they can spam you.

I don't like it either, but what is even worse is that one dealer has started putting "watermarks" on his photos for ALL customers. The idea is to prevent copying, but I wrote and told him that is was distracting enough prevent me from visiting his site to review his material. I was interested in one of his 6 figure coins, and I had spent a few thousand with him previously. My comment fell on deaf ears so I guess I'll have to confirn my interest in his inventory to what he's showing at the conventions.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

A few websites do that...and they will never gain me as a customer that way.

    More than 1 coin. image

If it's not easy to see what a dealer has for sale then I don't look.

I agree that usually means after looking once they spam you to death until you have to block them.
My simple answer is not to log in there are more than enouph good dealer sites that don't treat you that way.

It aint THAT hard to hit delete.

  • John Hamrick did the same thing and as such, I no longer visit his website.

There are much better ways to prevent someone from copying digital images than to place a watermark directly in the middle of a coin's obverse and reverse images.

It's a real shame too, as I very much enjoyed viewing his inventory prior to his decision to watermark.

Do it ever day Dog. Then agin I don't git 2 or three hunnert emails a day. Does it convey a message to the sender if a lot of emails are blocked and returned or isn't a sender notified if it is blocked?

Deleting an email causes me to actually have to lift a finger on the mouse. Twice.
I have junk & spam folders but then again I have to read them to make sure nothing "good" went to the junk folder. That's kinda dumb. If it wasn't free I wouldn't have it. hahaha

Get a free email account somewhere. Don't use it for anything except websites you don't care if you ever get email from. Then you never have to delete (or even check for) email.

    Problem solved.
