Need some help pulling trigger!

I have always liked the Stillwater palladium blister packs with 10 1/10th oz pieces. They were mined by Stillwater, and minted for them by Johnson Matthey.

I now have an opportunity to buy a 10 piece blister pack for $910. Thats currently $172 over melt for 1 oz of Pd though! Thats a pretty chunky premium at about 23% over.

Now, I understand that fracs are a higher premium than 1oz pieces. I'd imagine that I could buy the 1oz Pd rounds for less than $50 over melt all day. Should I buck up and buy the blister pack of 10 and just eat that heavy premium? Its only money, right?

  • i would rather pay more for fracs all day the big ones are nice but when it comes to unloading in the future when prices ae insane what will be easier to sell

  • I feel Pd will drop again so I am not buying at these levels (as investment).
If you like them, buy them. 50 bucks won't make any difference and metal is always better than paper.
Though, I think that the quality of these rounds is very poor. I had few of them (both 1/10 & 1/14) and wasn't impressed at all. JMHO

The upcoming U.S. Palladium Eagle will probably take away some of the demand for other forms of palladium.

I think you stack mostly, dont you Phil? If that's the case, I'd buy it and forget about it. $910 that could double fairly short term? I'd do it if I stacked...plus it's something you like and always wanted.

Seriously, Gecko. Go for it. That's a good price on some rare stuff.

If you decide not to, pm me the details and I'll buy it.

Seems like a fair market price based on today's market. The premium could drop, but so could anything else.
