Real simple. Will silver hit $35.00 or $24.00 first and on what day? No time, just the day.
Prize one ASE. ( one ounce) How fitting. A random generator will decide any ties. When guessing date the date please note that Saturdays and Sundays also count as a day in case of ties.
Guesses must be made by 11:59 pm EST Weds December 8. If I get hit by a bus and die before conclusion of the contest you will have to sue my estate for the ASE. My extra contest stash is buried 30 paces from the old oak tree and 12 paces from Mrs Futternut's tombstone.
Any editing at all in your post disqualifies you. Sorry, dem are the rules.
Everyone welcome. Even those on PM block.
Good luck. MJ
I waited until silver was back to $29.00 before I posted this. It just hit $29 at 7:10pmish EST. The $24 dollar guessers are getting a $1 head start.
I just edited my post so I'm disqualified

Merry Christmas! (Buy, buy, buy)
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
So here are my guess(es). $35 on or about May 2, 2011, or $25 on or about Jan 17, 2011.

<< <i>Using arithmatic scaling one can draw a trendline from the tops in 2004, 2006, 2008 to present. That line is at about $31--hit 30.75 today, so it is possible silver peaked today. However, if one uses logarithmic scaling, that line projects to about $100, but there is another trendline that projects to about $35. However again, everytime silver peaked in 2004, 2006, 2008, it dropped 30% or more, so if it peaked today and history repeats, silver could be $22 or less within 2 months.
So here are my guess(es). $35 on or about May 2, 2011, or $25 on or about Jan 17, 2011. >>
Throw a dart next time. Less work. MJ

**ALERT** Dan Norcini reports that it doesn't look like a silver squeeze as new shorts have entered the market on rising interest, which he says doesn't happen with a short squeeze.
So, there will continue to be buying opportunities. I think this is an attempt to manage the fall in the dollar that is being caused by a balance of trade deficit. On top of that, the silver market has it's own dynamics which still includes a supply that is dependent on zinc, copper & lead more than upon the price of silver, while the demand side is inelastic and still increasing due to expanded industrial utility. Throw any manipulation or China considerations and we get one heck of a volatile mix. I love it.
I knew it would happen.
