Rose Rookie -- What would it grade?

I am thinking that the top left corner is a fingernail indent. Could be a smoothed out ding. All things considered, PSA 5?

The top to bottom is clearly off but it may be somewhat normal for this card and I don't know the centering history.

I think your PSA 5 is a good number and if the top to bottom centering is not as severe as I think it may be, then a touch above a 5 is possible.

Straight 5 would be best case scenario...might be unlikely that it gets a straight grade though. If not, I'd say 6 OC.

It would not surprise me if it graded PSA 6.

5 is probably more like it though.

One of my favorite moments of all time was meeting Pete Rose at a Magic game.

He got swarmed with people and reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a stack of 4 by 6 printed photos of the pic of 4,192 hits with Steve Garvey that were signed with a fresh sharpie and I was lucky enough to get one.

I still have it to this day.

Mike ... nice looking card, but I'd lean toward a 4 ... MAYBE a 5. I think the t/b centering is just too much. HOPE I AM WRONG!

I think this is a great card, and I would love to have it. That being said, would you request NO QUALIFIERS when you sub, or would you be OK with maybe getting a PSA 6 (OC)?

The bottom right of the 6oc looks comparable (or a hair worse) than my top left. Good comp.

It could be! Top left looks better in the holder, bottom right looks worse.... could be the scan. Print dots are the same.

How much did that one go for? Am assuming the pic is from VCP?

Mike, Im pretty sure its the same card. Look at the dark blue dot under the "T" in stars. I bought this card on Ebay and sold it off ebay to a guy in Birmingham, AL ebay user ajoy. It originally had a wax stain on the front. It presents very well even if it is o/c t/b.

Thanks for the provenance.

It came in a complete set that I bought from a guy in Kansas. Am thinking about upgrading it, but hate side to side o/c which seems far more common than t/b for this card.
