    thanks for the link. Not sure what to think, perhaps he is looking too deeply into that mark on the coin but either way I'm awaiting to see what he finds out.

    Looks like a piece of slab plastic to me. With that big of dig/hit on cheek I do not think PCGS would give coin a ms69 grade.

    I say drill away baby! That would make for great entertainment.
    I agree that it's probably foreign matter but I have seen worse in 69 holders.
    He has nothing to gain and everything to lose from cracking that slab.
