please don't flame me - ? about PSA & PSA/DNA at shows

I'm probably going to answer my own question here, but I hope someone with more experience can confirm. I'm planning to go to the card show at the Westchester County Center January 14-16 and PSA is going to have a table there. Here's the information: http://www.psacard.com/shows/display_show.chtml?showid=6086&catid=314 It says: PSA representatives will be available to answer questions and accept submissions for all levels of service. PSA/DNA autograph experts will be available to authenticate your previously signed autographs on-site at the PSA Booth.

I'm assuming this means every possible item that could be submitted by mail can just be brought in person to their table at the show to save on shipping? Are there any known restrictions on submissions at shows? Thanks.

  • The only restriction would be on the autograph side...we can't accept items that we don't have shipping supplies for.
Even though we are doing it onsite some people don't want to wait.

On the card side we could take anything we grade....

What were you planning on bringing in?

  • As of now, the items I'm planning to bring that are unusual (if you want to call them that) are several 8x10 photos that have already been dry-mounted and matted along with other signed 8x10 photos.

The ticket and the two multi-signed photos already have Steiner holograms and certificates, so I'd only want the single Larsen 8x10 (upper left) signature authenticated. I hope this doesn't count as a multi-signed item. The photos were originally ordinary 8x10 photos. They're just all mounted on the same board now. The poster board is about 1/4" thick and total L/W measures 20x24.

I also have a similar matted poster board that contains 3 David Wells photos, but only one of the Wells photos is signed. I'd like to get that authenticated as well.

I have no problem getting to the show early Friday and waiting to pick up either Friday evening or later in the weekend.

If you are having it done there then there should be no issue about shipping. Only the staff at the show can tell you how long it will take once you get there.
